TCVM/Holistic vets...
can help with quality of life, which in cancer may help prolong life...with other conditions they can help with non-Rx solutions which may again help with quality of life...
- TCVM (Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine) and Holistic Vets can:
- Prescribe Chinese herbs to help treat cancer, arthritis, separation anxiety, so many conditions?..
- Do acupuncture to help stimulate the immune system, appetite, ...
- Provide food tips for certain issues
- So very many things...
- They can also provide herbs and acupuncture to help with you've, anxiety related diarrhea, etc which may enable some pups to get some treatments that they wouldn’t be able to get otherwise...
- They truly are a godsend and once you find and connect with one you will wonder how you ever did without them

- Here's the link to a holistic vet who does remote consultation (herbs, etc) Dr Jodie
- Dr Kendra Pope Integrative Oncology…she is located in NJ but does remote consultation
- Dr Trish Hazzah Inegrative Oncology...she is located in Los Angeles does remote consultation
- If you cannot find a holistic vet you can get Chinese Herbs from Kan Herbs with the following information:
- This is from a post in the “Ask Dr Steve” FB group in reply to asking for herbs for prostate cancer. Dr Steve is Dr Steve Marsden an Integrated Veterinarian who has adapted a line of Chinese Herbs, Kan Herbs, for dogs. The Kan Herbs are a slightly different formula than the TCVM Jing Tang herbs.
- The image below gives instructions on how to request the herbs, and here is the section of the post to reference: “The herbal formulas that have been really excellent at targeting Prostate Cancer is a combination of Ge Xia Zhu Yu Tang/Dispel Stasis in the Middle Palace with Shao Fu Zhu Yu Tang/ Dispel Stasis in the Lower Palace . These two cancer formulas create a strong focused treatment for prostatic cancer when combined.”
Assisi Loop...
· helps fight inflammation in the prostate, the areas around it, and other cancers that are primarily caused by inflammation. If anyone has questions please let me know.
I reached out to the Assisi Loop company to ask if it would penetrate deep enough to help decrease inflammation in a dogs prostate and got the following response:
“Thank you for reaching out to us. The Assisi Loop will penetrate deep enough to help target any pain and inflammation associated with this cancer. Please note that we advice against using the device in hemangiosarcomas. The nice thing about the Loop is that it "plays well with others" meaning that you can add this modality in with other treatments such as NSAIDS, herbs, etc.”
I have used it for Daisy Jane’s arthritis and anxiety and it does work!!!!
RIFE vs PEMF (Assisi Loop)
Basically RIFE (still don’t have enough proof and apparently they vary widely in construction which may affect how well they work) “Rife machines’ purpose is to destroy pathogens found inside the body.”
PEMF (apparently there is enough proof that it works) “PEMF therapy involves the use of pulses of electromagnetic energy emitted at specific frequencies to help heal cells and tissue, improve cellular energy, and reduce symptoms and diseases associated with cellular dysfunction.”
